GOOD GRIEF IS A PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP, FACILITATED BY A BEREAVED PARENT WHO HAS BEEN TRAINED IN COUNSELING, AND CREATED FOR BEREAVED PARENTS WHERE THEY CAN PROVIDE PEER-TO-PEER SUPPORT. WE HOLD GRIEF SUPPORT MEETINGS OVER ZOOM AND A LIVE BUTTERFLY RELEASE DURING OUR CONFERENCES TO REMEMBER ALL OF THE CHILDREN WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY AS WELL AS THE JOURNEY OF THEIR LIVES. COCKAYNE SYNDROME AND TRICHOTHIODYSTROPHY AWARENESS MONTH OF JULY IS A TIME FOR ALL FAMILIES AROUND THE WORLD TO CELEBRATE THEIR SPECIAL CHILDREN. AWARENESS IS THE COMMON THREAD WOVEN THROUGH ALL THE SCCS NETWORK PROGRAMS. OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE AWARENESS AND TO REACH OUT TO THE MEDICAL AND RESEARCH COMMUNITIES FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF RESEARCH AND CLINICAL CARE THAT WOULD BENEFIT INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY THE COCKAYNE SYNDROME.
