IN 2022, WE AWARDED FOUR $3,000 SCHOLARSHIPS to HARWOOD UNION GRADUATING SENIORS.IN SEPTEMBER of 2022, OUR ASSOCIATION RECEIVED A $100,000 DONATION FROM GEORGE HERMANS to ESTABLISH A SCHOLARSHIP IN MEMORY of HIS WIFE, MERRY ROWE HERMANS, WHO GRADUATED FROM WATERBURY HIGH SCHOOL IN 1946. SHE WAS AN HONOR STUDENT and AN EXCELLENT ATHLETE AMONG HER OTHER TALENTS. INTERESTINGLY, SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER of DASCOMB P. ROWE IN WHOSE HONOR OUR OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS ARE GIVEN. WE WILL BEGIN AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS IN MERRY ROWE HERMANS NAME IN 2023.
