IN KEEPING WITH ITS HERITAGE, THE ATHENEUM ALSO SERVES AS A CULTURAL CENTER for THE NANTUCKET COMMUNITY BY SPONSORING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING and MAINTAINING SPECIAL COLLECTIONS RELATED to THE HISTORY and CULTURE of THE ISLAND.
