THE FOUNDATION HOLDS AN ANNUAL GOLF OUTING. NORMALLY 140 to 165 GOLFERS ANNUALLY PARTICIPATE IN A DAY of GOLF, SILENT and ORAL AUCTIONS to RAISE FUNDS for THE FOUNDATION. THE COST of THE GOLFING, CART RENTAL and DINNER ARE THE ONLY MAJOR EXPENSES INCURRED. THE BALANCE of MONIES RECEIVED, AFTER COST of PRINTING and MAILING of INVITATIONS is NET PROFIT to THE FOUNDATION. APPROXIMATELY 30 INDIVIDUALS VOLUNTEER THE DAY of THE EVENT, WHICH MEANS A TIME COMMITMENT of ABOUT 12 HOURS ON EVENT DAY. PRIOR to THE EVENT THE COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS AN AVERAGE of 1-4 HOURS WEEKLY for THE 3 MONTHS LEADING UP to THE JUNE EVENT. IN PRIOR YEARS, THE FOUNDATION HAS ALSO HELD THE HUNTER VINCENT FISHING EVENT. THE EVENT INCLUDES A FREE DAY of FISHING for UNDER PRIVILEDGED BOYS and GIRLS. THE EVENT is 100% FUNDED BY DONATIONS. VOLUNTEERS for THESE EVENTS ARE NOT COMPENSATED.
