What they do
SUPPORT CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES THAT PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS AND INTEREST IN IRISH DANCE. OUR ORGANIZATION SPONSORS MULTIPLE EVENTS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS TO SUPPORT THIS OBJECTIVE, DRAWING ATTENDANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 1,000 PEOPLE FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. ONE OF THESE EVENTS, THE DANCE PROJECT, INCORPORATES IRISH DANCING WITH OTHER FORMS OF DANCE, IN AN EFFORT TO BOTH COLLABORATE WITH OTHER LOCAL DANCERS AND HIGHLIGHT THE COMMONALITIES IN THE ART OF DANCE. OUR ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT TO THE STUDENTS WITHIN THE DRUMCLIFFE IRISH DANCING SCHOOL, WHICH HAS GROWN TO OVER 75 STUDENTS, IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THEIR EXPERIENCES AS THEY LEARN THE ART OF IRISH DANCE.
