THE COUNCIL is HEADQUARTERED IN MILFORD, CONNECTICUT, and SERVES FAIRFIELD and NEW HAVEN COUNTIES THROUGH THE DELIVERY of A HIGH-QUALITY SCOUTING PROGRAM to OVER 9,500 YOUTH and 2,450 VOLUNTEER ADULTS. AS A LOCAL COUNCIL, IT is THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION to SERVE OTHERS BY HELPING INSTILL VALUES IN YOUNG PEOPLE to PREPARE THEM to MAKE ETHICAL CHOICES and ACHIEVE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. THE COUNCIL OPERATES TWO CAMPING FACILITIES and SUPPORTS OVER 135 COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS OPERATING OVER 270 LOCAL SCOUTING UNITS WITHIN THE COUNCILS GEOGRAPHICAL AREA.
