What they do
OUR MUSICAL PROGRAM, ALLOWS ALL FIFTH GRADERS to AUDITION and VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATE IN AN ANNUAL STAGE MUSICAL. THIS PROGRAM ENABLES STUDENTS to BUILD ON ALL ASPECTS of THEIR CLASSROOM MUSIC EDUCATION. IN ADDITION, STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT VARIOUS ASPECTS of THEATER INCLUDING ACTING, SINGING, DANCING/CHOREOGRAPHY, SET DESIGN, BACKSTAGE CREW WORK and PLANNING. STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN SET DESIGN and CONSTRUCTION ALSO BUILD ON THEIR ART and MATH SKILLS. THIS PROGRAM is PROVIDED for BOTH EDUCATION and SOCIAL ENRICHMENT, and ENABLES STUDENTS to BUILD SELF-CONFIDENCE, WORK COOPERATIVELY IN SMALL and LARGE GROUPS and ENCOURAGE PUBLIC SPEAKING SKILLS IN A FUN ENVIRONMENT. IN ADDITION OUR SCHOOL TALENT SHOW for 3RD. 4TH and 5TH GRADERS ALSO ENABLES CHILDREN to BUILD SELF-CONFIDENCE BY SHOWING OFF SOME of THEIR UNIQUE SKILLS and ABILITIES.
