ALUMNI & FRIENDS of LAGUARDIA HS of MUSIC and ART & PERFORMING ARTS (A&F) MISSION is to CONTINUE and ENHANCE THE WORLD-CLASS ARTS EDUCATION AT LAGUARDIA BY PROVIDING FUNDS to THE ALL STUDIOS (ART, DANCE, DRAMA, MUSIC, and TECHNICAL THEATER); to ENSURE THAT ALL STUDENTS, REGARDLESS of FAMILY INCOME, CAN SUCCESSFULLY PURSUE THEIR TALENTS THROUGH SEVERAL AWARD and SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS; FUNDS to THE STUDIO CURRENT NEEDS, and to KEEP ALUMNI CONNECTED WITH EACH OTHER and THE SCHOOL THROUGH NEWSLETTERS, A WEBSITE, and REUNIONS.FUNDS to THE SCHOOL and ITS STUDENTS COME FROM A&FS $15.9 MILLION ENDOWMENT CREATED BY GENEROUS DONORS. PROCEEDS FROM THIS ENDOWMENT PROVIDE $500,000 IN FUNDING, for SCHOLARSHIP and OUR ARTS PROGRAMS. A&FS GOAL is to GROW THIS ENDOWMENT FURTHER to PROVIDE EVEN MORE ASSISTANCE, PARTICULARLY AS THE SCHOOL FACES FURTHER BUDGET CUTS and ITS NEEDS ARE GREATER THAN EVER.
