THE ART RESOURCE CENTER WHICH STARTED IN 2004 BEGAN AS AN ORGANIZATION THAT COLLECTS and RECYCLES ART MATERIALS to TEACHERS THAT COULD NOT AFFORD SUPPLIES. SINCE THEN, THE SPACE HAS GROWN to 4,000 SQ FT and REACHES NOT ONLY TEACHERS BUT ALSO STUDENTS, ARTISTS, and COMMUNITY PROGRAMS. THROUGH THE HELP of SEVERAL VOLUNTEERS, THE ARC NOW SERVES AN ESTIMATED 250,000 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY INCLUDING OVER 50,000 YOUTH. NOT ONLY HAS THE ORGNANIZATION PROVIDED to THOSE IN NEED BUT IT ALSO SUPPORTS ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY.
