THE GIRL CHOIR of SOUTH FLORIDAS MISSION is to TRANSFORM GIRLS LIVES THROUGH MUSICAL EXCELLENCE. WE CURRENTLY HAVE FOUR CHOIR ENSEMBLES WITH ROUGHLY 90 MEMBERS. OUR PRIMARY SERVICE is PROVIDING QUALITY MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM to GIRLS AGE 6 to 18 IN THE SOUTH FLORIDA AREA THAT INCLUDES TRAINING ON SIGHT-READING, MUSIC THEORY and VOCAL PRODUCTION SKILLS, AS WELL AS PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES IN SOUTH FLORIDA and ON STATE, NATIONAL, and INTERNATIONAL TOURS. THROUGH THIS EDUCATION, OUR PROGRAM AIMS to DEVELOP SINGERS MUSIC LITERACY and ARTISTIC CREATIVITY WHILE ALSO INSTILLING BROADER VALUES LIKE TEAMWORK, COMMUNITY, EMPATH and CONFIDENCE. WE PROVIDE A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE GIRLS PURSUE EXCELLENCE IN MUSIC WHILE DEVELOPING A GREATER UNDERSTANDING of THEMSELVES, EACH OTHER, and THE WORLD AROUND THEM. WE DONT JUST WANT OUR MEMBERS to BECOME BETTER SINGES - WE BELIEVE THAT PARTICIPATION IN OUR PROGRAMS HELPS OUR SINGERS BECOME BETTER PEOPLE.
