What they do

BRIGHT START DAYCARE & PRESCHOOL is DESIGNED to MEET THE DEVELOPMENTAL and EMOTIONAL NEEDS of YOUR CHILDREN. WE PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES to BUILD CHILDRENS COGNITIVE and SOCIAL SKILLS BY EXPLORING LANGUAGE, CREATING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT for SOCIAL INTERACTIONS, and LEARNING PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS THROUGH HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES. WE BELIEVE THAT THE CAREGIVERS PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY is to ASSIST EACH CHILD IN GROWING to HIS or HER FULLEST POTENTIAL. CHILDREN LEARN BEST IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE RELATIONSHIPS ARE WARM; THEREFORE, THE EMPHASIS is PLACED ON THE PROCESS RATHER THAN THE PRODUCT. WE RECOGNIZE THAT EACH CHILD DEVELOPS AT HIS or HER OWN RATE, SO WE ASSIST EACH CHILD INDIVIDUALLY. WE BELIEVE THAT, BY RESPECTING CHILDREN, THEY WILL HAVE THE FREEDOM and KNOWLEDGE to MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL LEAD to A BRIGHT FUTURE.

Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Worth asking: Expenses exceeded revenue this year. Ask whether that was planned or caused by a one-time event. The complete report shows the exact difference and financial history.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
