THE DETERIORATED PLANTING BEDS COMPRISED of CONCRETED BLOCKS WAS REMOVED and A NEW LANDSCAPE of TREES, SHRUBS, and PERENNIALS WERE INSTALLED. IT is SURROUNDED BY COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS WITH THE NAMES of THOSE WANTING THEIR LOVED ONES to BE REMEMBERED. AN AREA WAS RESERVED and THREE NEW FLAG POLES WERE INSTALLED THAT CARRY THE COUNTY, STATE, and U.S. FLAGS. DCT RAISED THE FUNDS for THIS PROJECT and SUPERVISED THE PLANTING and BRICK INSTALLATION. THIS PROJECT SERVES ALL of JEFFERSON COUNTY, THOSE THAT COME to THE COURTHOUSE FROM OTHER STATES for GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH, and THE CITIZENS of DANDRIDGE.
