WE HELD FOUR EVENTS WHERE 19VETERANS WITH PTSD WERE MATCHED WITH 19 KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS for A DAYOF CANINE-ASSISTED ADOPTIVE SURFING, PADDLING, SWIMMING, PLAYING ANDTHERAPY. THESE ACTIVITIES ENABLED THE VETERANS to CONTINUE THEIR LIFE OFSERVICE, and FIND NEW PURPOSE BY ENGAGING IN COMMUNITY SERVICE WHILEMENTORING and INSPIRING FUTURE GENERATIONS. THE GOAL WAS to CONNECT DIVERSEPOPULATIONS THROUGH THE CHALLENGES THEY FACE, BRINGING THEM TOGETHER FORTHEIR GREATER GOOD and THE GREATER GOOD of THE COMMUNITY. THERE ARE SEVERALCOMPONENTS to THIS PROGRAM WHICH INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:CANINE-ASSISTED SWIMMING for KIDS WITH AUTISM and OTHER SPECIAL NEEDS WASLAUNCHED IN 2017 BECAUSE ONE of OUR SERVICE DOGS IN TRAINING DISPLAYED ANINSTINCT for ASSISTING KIDS IN THE WATER.
