What they do
WE HOSTED A 3-DAY OFF-SEASON ROBOTICS COMPETITION TOURNAMENT CAPITAL CITY CLASSIC ROBOTICS COMPETITION. THE PURPOSE of THIS EVENT WAS to FOSTER A CULTURE of STEM EDUCATION OUTREACH and AWARENESS for K-12 STUDENTS BY ALLOWING HIGH SCHOOL ROBOTICS TEAMS FROM THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA and OREGON to COMPETE IN A FRIENDLY COMPETITION. THIS COMPETITION ALLOWED TEAMS to PREPARE for THE UPCOMING FIRST ROBOTICS SEASON THAT BEGAN IN JANUARY 2025 BY ALLOWING THEM to PLAY LAST YEARS GAME WITH THEIR SELF-DESIGNED ROBOTS. STUDENTS MENTORS PARENTS and THE GENERAL PUBLIC WERE ALSO GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY to ATTEND WORKSHOPS HOSTED DURING THE COMPETITION ABOUT VARIOUS STEM TOPICS SUCH AS HOW to BUILD A ROBOT TEAM CULTURE CODING COMPETITION STRATEGY FINANCES and PUBLIC RELATIONS. WE KNOW OUR 2024 EVENT WAS SUCCESSFUL AT SERVING OUR ORGANIZATIONS PURPOSE BECAUSE WE HAD 48 DIFFERENT TEAMS FROM ALL DIFFERENT PARTS of CALIFORNIA NOT INCLUDING THE ONE TEAM FROM OREGON PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT.
