THROUGHOUT NORTHWESTERN NEW JERSEY, WE PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE ARRAY of STRATEGIES, PROGRAMS and SERVICES THAT FALL INTO SIX DOMAINS or CATEGORIES of SUPPORT: EDUCATION; EMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT; HEALTH & NUTRITION; HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT; and VOLUNTEERISM & CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1965 AS PART of A NATIONWIDE NETWORK of COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAMS, or CAP AGENCIES, SUPPORTED BY FEDERAL PROGRAMS and RESOURCES CREATED BY THE JOHNSON ADMINISTRATION to COMBAT POVERTY.
