New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra (NJIO) Welcomes Musicians of All Ages and Varying Skill Levels Into A Nurturing Artistic Environment. Four Separate Ensembles Allow Our Members to Grow Musically and Socially With Instruction From Music Professionals and By Working With Each Other. NJIO Believes That Music Performances Are Beneficial to Everyone, and Serves Our Community By Presenting 4 Free Orchestral Concerts and 11 Outreach Performances and Special Events Throughout New Jersey With Total Attendance (live and Virtual) Around 2000. NJIO Also Offers Summer Programming In The Form of Chamber Music Instruction and An Intergenerational Conducting Institute. About 150 Individuals Participate In NJIO Programs Which Promote Lifelong Learning, Mentorship Between Generations, and Sharing The Joy of Music With Diverse Populations Through NJIOs Free Community Concerts.
