THE AMERICAN BRIDGE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION WAS CREATED IN 1957. THE PURPOSE of THE ORGANIZATION TODAY is to PROMOTE and PROTECT THE STANDARDS of BRIDGE TEACHING and ITS PRACTITIONERS, ESTABLISH A CODE of ETHICS and SCHEDULE of MINIMUM FEES IN THE PROFESSION, INSOFAR AS is PRACTICABLE, and to MAKE KNOWN IN THE PUBLIC and PROFESSIONAL INTEREST IN ANY INFORMATION IN THE BRIDGE TEACHING PROFESSION. THIS PURPOSE is COMPLETED THROUGH VARIOUS OPTIONS. OUR MEMBERS ENJOY A QUARTERLY MAGAZINE WHICH is DESIGNED to SUPPORT ABTA MEMBERS WITH ARTICLES THAT FOCUS ON TOPICS RELEVANT to BRIDGE TEACHERS FROM MARKETING and BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT to TEACHING STRATEGIES and BOOK REVIEWS. NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE OUR ANNUAL CONVENTION WHERE YOU CAN LEARN NEW SKILLS, RECEIVE LESSON PLANS FROM TOP TEACHERS, HEAR EXPERT PLAYERS FIRST HAND ON THEIR THOUGHTS and BRIDGE TREATMENTS; AND, RECEIVE ADVANCE NOTICE and SPECIAL DISCOUNTS ON NEW BOOKS.
