THE PSA WORKS to ACHIEVE THESE GOALS WITH ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETINGS, PHILANTHROPIC ENDEAVORS WITH COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE COMMONWEALTH and ADVOCACY for THE PROFESSION of ANESTHESIOLOGY. NUMEROUS PSA BOARD MEMBERS ATTEND FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE EVENTS IN WASHINGTON DC, MEETING WITH LEGISLATORS. PSA CONTINUES to ENGAGE WITH PENNSYLVANIA LEGISLATORS to SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT of ANESTHESIA ASSISTANT PROGRAMS and to STRONGLY OPPOSE CONTINUING LEGISLATION REGARDING CERTIFIED NURSE ANESTHETISTS ABILITY to WORK UNSUPERVISED. THE PSA FEELS STRONGLY THIS WOULD COMPROMISE PATIENT SAFETY.
