What they do
During The 2025 Fiscal Year, Indie Memphis Paused Production of Its Annual Film Festival Due to Funding Challenges and The Need to Reassess The Long-term Sustainability of The Organizations Operations. This Decision Was Made By The Organizations Leadership and Board of Directors In Order to Responsibly Steward Organizational Resources While Developing A Plan for Future Programming. Throughout The Year, The Board Remained Actively Engaged In Strategic Planning and Fundraising Efforts to Support The Continuation of Indie Memphiss Mission of Celebrating Independent Film, Supporting Filmmakers, and Creating Cultural Experiences for The Memphis Community. As A Result of These Efforts, Funding Has Been Secured for The Return of The Indie Memphis Film Festival In Fall 2026, and The Organization Has Resumed Festival Programming and Operations.
