SO OFTEN, SIBLINGS OF PEDIATRIC PATIENTS EXPERIENCE CIRCUMSTANTIAL NEGLECT WHEN THEIR BROTHER OR SISTER IS HOSPITALIZED; THIS PROGRAM IS AIMED AT MOTIVATING AND ENCOURAGING SIBLINGS BY PROVIDING THEM WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO PUT ON PERFORMANCE EVENTS FOR THEIR PARENTS. THE PROGRAM ALSO AIMS AT EMPOWERING SIBLINGS WITH KNOWLEDGE, CONFIDENCE, AND AWARENESS. THIS IS A MORE THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM THAT ACKNOWLEDGES THE ILLNESS OF THEIR SIBLING, WHILE EMPHASIZING THEIR OWN ROLES, DAILY LIFE, AND PLACE WITHIN THE FAMILY DURING THIS JOURNEY. THIS PROGRAM IS MADE POSSIBLY BY SERVICES DONATED BY OUR TALENTED VOLUNTEERS. THE VALUE OF THE SKILLED SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN EXPENSES IS ESTIMATED TO BE APPROXIMATELY $12,000.
