Provide A Summer Camp Experience for 32 Children With Moderate to Severe Disabilities Ages 4-20. This Includes Field Trips and Recreational Activities. Childrens School Goals Are Reinforced Across All Settings With 8 Typical Peers and 18 Volunteers Who Joined to Help Children Practice Skills In A Natural Way. Camp Sunshine Was Able to Add A Preschool Classroom and Expand to Include Younger Children This Past Summer. Utilizing Peers and Volunteers Not Only Provided Peer Role Modeling and Support But Also Help to Control Expenses. Camp Sunshine Continues to Run Most Organizational Components of Camp With Volunteers. These Volunteers Do Everything From Organizing and Running Fundraising Activities, to Conducting PR Activities, to Completing All Bookkeeping Activities.
