THE BAND BOOSTER CLUB RAISES FUNDS to PROMOTE EXCELLENCE and STUDENT ENRICHMENT. THE SOUTH WARREN HIGH SCHOOL BAND HAD A SUCCESSFUL YEAR. THE MARCHING BAND MOVED FROM 4A to 5A CLASSIFICATION and COMPETED AGAINST DIFFERENT BANDS THAN IN PREVIOUS YEARS. THE BAND TRAVELED to SEVERAL REGIONAL COMPETITIONS and IMPROVED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE BAND PLACED TENTH AT THE REGIONAL COMPETITION IN THE SPRING. THE BAND BOOSTERS RAISED FUNDS BY SELLING SPARTAN CARDS, T-SHIRTS, and STICKERS. ADDITIONALLY, THE BOOSTER ORGANIZATION OPERATED THE CONCESSION STAND AT SOUTH WARREN HIGH SCHOOL HOME FOOTBALL and BASKETBALL GAMES, AN IMPORTANT FUNDRAISER ACTIVITY. DONATIONS to THE BAND FROM THE FAMILIES of THE BAND STUDENTS ALSO CONSTITUTED AN IMPORTANT SOURCE of FUNDS. THE CONCERT BAND PRESENTED TWO TRADITIONAL CONCERTS and THE JAZZ BAND ALSO HAD A CONCERT. THE BAND PLAYED AT HOME FOOTBALL GAMES and THE PEP BAND PLAYED AT HOME BASKETBALL GAMES. THE BAND ALSO MARCHED IN THE VETERANS DAY and CHRISTMAS PARADES
