ANNUALLY, to ORGANIZE and FUND A SESSION WHERE DENTISTS and STAFF MAY OBTAIN LOW - COST and LOCAL CONTINUING EDUCATION AS REQUIRED BY THE NC DENTAL BOARD. THIS ACTIVITY REPRESENTS THE LARGEST SINGLE OPERATION of THE ORGANIZATION and is THE MOST EXPENSIVE and TIME CONSUMING. APPROXIMATELY 50% of TIME and FINANCIAL RESOURCES ARE ALLOCATED TOWARDS THIS ENDEAVOR IN THE INTEREST IN EDUCATING COLLEAGES. TOPICS INCLUDE CLINICAL TIPS, PATIENT MANAGEMENT, PRACTICE MANAGEMENT, ETC. ATTENDEES WHO ARE AFFILIATED WITH A UNIVERSITY INCLUDING STUDENTS and EDUCATORS ARE ADMITTED A LOW or NO FEE. THIS ALSO APPLIES to NEW and RETIRED DENTISTS. ANY PROFIT for THIS MEETING is EARMARKED for FUTURE MEETINGS and PHILANTHROPY, INCLUDING SCHOLARSHIPS AT LOCAL UNIVERSITIES, FUNDING of DENTAL and EDUCATIONAL VOLUNTEERISM, and SUPPORTING FOUNDATIONS GEARED TOWARD ADDRESSING UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS.
