THE MEMBERS of BEI DOU XING FEEL IT is IMPORTANT to HAVE FUNDS to SUPPORT AN OPPORTUNITY for OUR STUDENTS to BE IMMERSED IN THE CULTURE and LANGUAGE THEY ARE STUDYING. FLUENCY DOESNT DEVELOP THROUGH CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION ALONE. THE GOALS of THIS EXPERIENCE ARE to BRING RELEVENCE to CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION, EXPLORE DAILY LIFE IN CHINA, BUILD STUDENTS LANGUAGE and CULTURAL COMPETENCE, and to REWARD STUDENTS for YEARS of HARD WORK IN THE IMMERSION PROGRAM.IN A NORMAL YEAR THE XINXING 8TH GRADE STUDENTS WOULD VISIT CHINA for 8 DAYS IN MARCH.
