THE FUNDRAISING BRIDGES THE GAP BETWEEN THE FUNDING PROVIDED to THE MUSIC DEPT. & WHAT is REQUIRED to ENSURE THAT SPHS STUDENTS RECEIVE THE RICHEST & MOST COMPLETE MUSIC EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AVAILABLE. AS THE OFFICIAL PRIVATE FUND-RAISING ORG. for THE SPHS MUSIC DEPT., THE SPHS MUSIC BOOSTERS ENCOURAGES & ORGANIZES PARENTS INVOLVEMENT & ASSISTS THE MUSIC DIRECTOR IN SUPPORT of THE MARCHING BAND,CONCERT BAND,SYMPHONIC BAND,COLOR GUARD,ORCHESTRA,JAZZ BAND,WINTER DRUM LINE & WINTER COLOR GUARD. PROCEEDS ARE USED to PROVIDE MUSIC, INSTRUMENTS, INSTRUMENT REPAIRS & FINANCIAL SUPPORT for COMPETITIONS. WE BELIEVES THAT MUSIC is A CRITICAL COMPONENT IN THE EDUCATION of OUR CHILDREN. THE MUSIC PROGRAM is TRADITIONALLY UNDER FUNDED & THROUGH FUNDRAISING & VOLUNTEERING AT EVENTS & COMPETITIONS, DONATIONS AID IN OUR EFFORTS to ADVANCE ED., MUSIC & THE ARTS.
