PADDLING PROGRAM - OUR PADDLING PROGRAM is AT THE HEART of OUR MISSION BY SUPPORTING CANCER PATIENTS and SURVIVORS IN INTEGRAL WAYS. TWO to THREE COMMUNITY PADDLES TAKE PLACE EACH WEEK, AVERAGING 36 PADDLERS A DAY. PADDLING ON OUR MAUI OCEAN WATERS PROVIDES A DEEPLY HEALING EXPERIENCE. WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY BUILT A FLEET of SEVEN PINK CANOES INCLUDING THREE DOUBLE-HULL CANOES. CHEMOTHERAPY REDUCES MUSCLE STRENGTH and FREQUENTLY CAUSES FATIGUE. IN STABLE DOUBLE HULLS WITH A CADRE of PADDLING SUPPORTERS, OUR MOST VULNERABLE MEMBERS CAN RIDE WITHOUT EXERTING ENERGY and STILL BENEFIT FROM BEING ON THE HEALING MAUI OCEAN. HUNDREDS of MAUI RESIDENTS and VISITORS PADDLED WITH US IN 2024. PEOPLE HEAL WITH US PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY, and SPIRITUALLY, and THE EFFECTS ARE PROFOUND. WE OFFER A UNIQUE SERVICE THAT DEEPLY TOUCHES THE LIVES of EVERYONE WHO PADDLES WITH US.
