EIN 27-3257768 · Emergency Assistance (P60)

What they do

THE MISSION of UTAH LABOR COMMUNITY SERVICES is to ASSIST UNION WORKING FAMILIES THAT ARE STRUGGLING to MAKE ENDS MEET DUE to SEASONAL UNEMPLOYMENT, LAYOFFS, GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWNS, BEING INJURED ON THE JOB or ILLNESS. WE BELIEVE THOSE TYPES of HARDSHIPS SHOULD NOT SINK A FAMILY INTO FINANCIAL RUIN. WORKERS and THEIR FAMILIES ARE FACED WITH DIFFICULT CHOICES DAILY, DO THEY PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE or GAS IN THE CAR? WHEN THEY FEEL THEY CAN NO LONGER PROVIDE A WARM MEAL or A DRY DIAPER, UTAH LABOR COMMUNITY SERVICES PROVIDES THEM A SAFETY NET and A SUPPORT SYSTEM SO THEY CAN MEET THOSE DAILY NEEDS to GET BY UNTIL THEIR FAMILIES HARDSHIP HAS PASSED. WE ARE DOING OUR PART IN THE COMMUNITY to HELP MAKE A CHANGE, WE ARE IN THIS FIGHT TOGETHER and WE ARE HERE to MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHERE WE CAN PROVIDE ONE.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.

Has the pattern changed?

Colored bars = expense mix: how each year’s expenses were divided. Total expenses vs. revenue shows whether the charity spent less or more than it received. The current filing is first.
