What they do

THE ORGANIZATION ADVANCED ITS MISSION of RESCUING and REHOMING HOMELESS DOGS THROUGH AN EXTENSIVE COMMUNITY OUTREACH and ADOPTION PROGRAM. DURING THE YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED 30 ADOPTION-FOCUSED EVENTS, INCLUDING RECURRING PARTNERSHIPS WITH PAWS for A BEER and PETSMART, AS WELL AS COMMUNITY EVENTS WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES and NONPROFIT PARTNERS. ADDITIONAL FUNDRAISING and AWARENESS ACTIVITIES INCLUDED TRIVIA NIGHTS, PUPPY YOGA EVENTS, A VALENTINES CELEBRATION, PARTICIPATION IN A MARDI GRAS PARADE, THE PUPPY BOWL, RACE for THE UNDERDOGS 5K, DOG DAYS of SUMMER, THE WHATCOM COUNTY HOME SHOW, A HOLIDAY AUCTION, and PICTURES WITH SANTA. THESE EVENTS INCREASED PUBLIC AWARENESS of ANIMAL WELFARE, CONNECTED PROSPECTIVE ADOPTERS WITH RESCUE DOGS, STRENGTHENED COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS, and GENERATED CRITICAL SUPPORT for RESCUE OPERATIONS. AS A DIRECT RESULT of THESE EFFORTS, 247 DOGS WERE PLACED INTO LOVING PERMANENT HOMES DURING THE YEAR.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
