GENESIS HAS BEEN GRANTED 501C3 STATUS AS A HOSPITAL. ALL HOSPITAL OPERATIONS and ASSETS of GOOD SAMARITAN MEDICAL CENTER WERE TRANSFERRED to GENESIS WITH THE EXCEPTION of CERTAIN INVESTMENTS. GOOD SAMARITAN MEDICAL CENTER WILL CONTINUE to HAVE CONTROL OVER CERTAIN INVESTMENTS WHICH ARE BEING USED BY THE GENESIS HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN FULFILLING ITS TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSE.
