What they do

WE BELIEVE BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE to ANYONE WILLING to PUT IN THE WORK--REGARDLESS of THEIR FINANCIAL SITUATION. OUR MISSION is to SUPPORT YOUTH and ADULT PRACTITIONERS ACROSS THE U.S BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS for COMPETITION EXPENSES, TRAINING and GEAR. WE FOCUS ON ASSISTING LOWER-RANKED ATHLETES WHO DEMONSTRATE STRONG CHARACTER and GIVE BACK to THE JIU JITSU COMMUNITY--BECAUSE THEY REPRESENT THE FUTURE of THE SPORT. TOO OFTEN, TALENTED INDIVIDUALS ARE FORCED to WALK AWAY FROM JIU JITSU DUE to THE FINANCIAL BURDEN. WERE HERE to CHANGE THAT. JIU JITSU OFFERS FAR MORE THAN JUST PHYSICAL FITNESS. IT BUILDS CONFIDENCE, RESILENCE, DISCIPLINE, and EMOTIONAL STRENGTH. IT TEACHES YOU HOW to FACE ADVERSITY, HOW to COMMUNICATE, HOW to LEAD--AND IT CREATES A DEEP SENSE of BELONGING. THESE BENEFITS CAN BE LIFE-CHANGING, ESPECIALLY for THOSE NAVIGATING HARDSHIP. BY BREAKING DOWN FINANCIAL BARRIERS, WERE NOT JUST HELPING INDIVIDUALS, WERE INVESTING IN THE FUTURE of THE JIU JITS

Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
