THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE and FUNCTIONS of THIS UNION ARE: 1) to IMPROVE WORKING and LIVING CONDITIONS of FLOC UNION AFL-CIO MEMBERS and to DEVELOP JUST COMPENSATION for WORK (I.E., HEALTH BENEFITS, RETIREMENT PLANS, WORKER PLANS for CHANGES ON METHOD of PRODUCTION, ETC.) THROUGH SELF-ORGANIZATION, PUBLIC ACTIONS and COLLECTIVE BARGAINING. 2) to REPRESENT and ADVOCATE for FLOC UNION MEMBERS BEFORE PUBLIC and PRIVATE GROUPS. 3) to DEVELOP SELF-HELP PROGRAMS for THE ABOVE. 4) to ENCOURAGE LEGISLATION for THE ABOVE WHO ARE EXCLUDED FROM ALL LABOR LEGISLATION.
