THE PRIMARY PURPOSE of THE MINORITY HEALTH COALITION of GRANT COUNTY, INC. is to PROMOTE MINORITY HEALTH THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, SERVICE DELIVERY, PUBLIC RELATIONS, RESEARCH and LEADERSHIP. THE ACTIVITIES of THE ORGANIZATION ARE PROMOTING HEALTH INFORMATION THROUGH OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, PROVIDE HEALTH FAIRS and SCREENINGS, HEALTH PRESENTATIONS, HEALTH INTERVENTION PROGRAMS SUCH AS DIABETES MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, TOBACCO EDUCATION, LEAD POISONING INFORMATION and EDUCATION, YOUTH NUTRITION and EXERCISE PROGRAMS. WE ADVOCATE for INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNABLE to SPEAK for THEMSELVES and LEND A VOICE to THE COMMUNITY KEEPING THEM ABREAST of EMERGING HEALTH TOPICS THEY MAY BE UNAWARE OF. LISTENING SESSIONS ARE ALSO A PART of THE ACTIVITIES PROVIDED BY THE MINORITY HEALTH COALITION. FUNDING for THESE ACTIVITIES COME FROM GRANT DOLLARS THROUGH INDIANA and LEAD CAMPAIGN GRANTS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO DEPENDS UPON THE SUPPORT and PARTICIPATION of THE COMMUNITY.
