At The Time of Neighbors Keeper Inception Its Vision Was to Offer Diverse Populations Universal Access to Healthcare Enrollment and Navigation Assistance to Improve The Quality of Life of Community Residents. Neighbors Keeper Understood Having Health Coverage Enables People to Work A Job and Having Good Health Enables People to Do So. Henceforth, Neighbors Keeper Established An Employment Opportunity Program Targeting Unemployed Construction Subcontractors E.g. Painters. This Led to A Partnership With A Real Estate Company Wanted Skilled Commercial Painters for Residential Home Renovations. Neighbors Keeper Acted As A Project Manager On Behalf of The Painters Who Were Sole Proprietor Independent Contractors. The Project Succeeded In Its Initial Employment Goal However Proved to Be Unsustainable Given Transportation Barriers Faced By Its Participants. This Put An End to Further Employment Opportunity Projects Until Such Time Those Barriers Were Overcome.
