What they do

ACM is A Non-profit Organization Dedicated to Building Community By Creating An Environment That Preserves and Enriches The Acoustic & Folk Music Tradition. Our Goal is to Create An Environment for Learning and Enjoying Folk Music By Making It Accessible to Everyone. ACM Teaches and Celebrates Music and Cultural Expressions Rooted In The Traditions of Diverse American and Global Communities. Our Goals Include Expanding Our Music and Education Programs for School-aged Children, Seniors and Other Under-served Communities. In Order to Preserve and Celebrate The Folk Music Tradition, We Also Must Support New Aspiring Musicians and Introduce The Community to Professional Musicians Who Make Their Living Through Music. In This Way, We Also Support Musicians Who Struggle to Keep This Art Alive.

Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Ask these three easy questions

  1. Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
  2. What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
  3. Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.

Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
