What they do
THE INDIANA CORN MARKETING COUNCIL ("ICMC") WORKS to PROMOTE INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS to GROW THE VALUE of CORN IN INDIANA FROM SEED to CONSUMER. THE INDIANA GENERAL ASSEMBLY, RECOGNIZING THE IMPORTANCE of CORN to THE ECONOMY of THE STATE, ENACTED THE INDIANA CORN MARKET DEVELOPMENT STATUTE, CURRENTLY CODIFIED IN IND. CODE 15-15-12 ("THE STATUTE") WHICH REQUIRES A CHECKOFF ASSESSMENT ON CERTAIN TYPES of CORN MARKETED IN THE STATE of INDIANA. THE ICMC is A PUBLIC BODY CORPORATE and POLITIC ORGANIZATION LOCATED IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA ESTABLISHED to FACILITATE THE CORN CHECKOFF ASSESSMENT PROGRAM IN INDIANA and COMMUNICATE INFORMATION RELATING to THE CONDUCT, IMPLEMENTATION, or RESULTS of PROMOTION, RESEARCH, and MARKET DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES RELATING to CORN to PRODUCERS and STAKEHOLDERS. PROCEEDS of THE CHECKOFF ASSESSMENT MAY NOT BE USED to INFLUENCE LEGISLATION or GOVERNMENTAL ACTION or POLICY.
Should I give to this charity?
Basic public information is available, but it is not enough to judge how well donations are used. Ask the charity for a current spending breakdown and results.
Plain answer: A tax form cannot prove that a charity is doing good. It can show how the charity says it spent its money—and point out questions you should ask.

Money made simple
Ask these three easy questions
- Who did you help? Ask for a recent story or report that shows real results.
- What will my money do? Ask exactly what your gift will pay for.
- Is this really the charity? Give only through its official website or confirmed phone number.
Bottom line: Do not decide from a name, mission statement, or tax status alone. Look at where the money went, then ask what changed, who was helped, and what your gift will do. YouCanGiveBack does not endorse or grade organizations.
