The Inchelium Cultural Research Center is An Accessible, Welcoming Archive and Library and A Space for Sharing and Dialogue. It Provides Community Members With An Opportunity to Store and Contribute to The Shared Cultural Record of Our Homeland and Fosters Meaningful Connections Between Our Community and The History of Indigenous Groups In and Around Inchelium. The Inchelium Cultural Research Center Runs On Three, Overarching Goals: Records Collection and Access: Maintain Over 15 Community-based Archival Collections and Are Working to Rehouse Them Following Archival Standard Preservation Methods, Digitize Where Possible, and Digitally Catalog The Records. Cultural Protection, Preservation, and Continuity: ICRC Works With Elders and Youth to Create and Preserve - Largely Through Crafting, Digitization, Research, and Writing. Community Engagement: The ICRC Holds At Least One Public Program Annually, From Local Author Book Readings to Local History Seminars and Arts Class.
