What they do

The Special Needs Children Project Seeks to Address The Social and Physical Needs of Children With Disabilities and Their Families In Kyrgyzstan. The Project Includes The Following; Providing Physical Therapy to Children, Providing Training In Physical Therapy for Caregivers and Community Members, Providing Education and Life Skills Training, Strengthening The Social Foundation for Families, Providing Adaptive Equipment, and Working to See Institutionalized Children Reunited With Their Biological Families. The Project Has Also Established A Therapeutic Horse-riding Program and Seeks to Promote This Method of Therapy for Children With Special Needs In Kyrgyzstan. There Were A Total of 1033 Direct Beneficiaries From The Project In 2023 Including Children With Disabilities Receiving Therapy and Equipment. This Also Includes Their Immediate Caregivers Receiving Instruction and Support. In Addition, There Were 1008 Indirect Beneficiaries Which Include Other Family Members.
