SEE SCHEDULE OTHE MATHEWS-DICKEY BOYS & GIRLS CLUB, A NON-PROFIT, 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION, WAS FOUNDED IN 1960 BY MARTIN LUTHER MATHEWS and THE LATE HUBERT "DICKEY" BALLENTINE. INITIALLY, THE CLUB WAS DESIGNED to PROVIDE STRUCTURED RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES to NEIGHBORHOOD YOUTHS. TODAY, THE CLUBS GOALS ARE MORE FOCUSED and COMPREHENSIVE. THE MATHEWS-DICKEY BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS MISSION is to PRODUCE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE, WELL-EDUCATED and HOPEFUL YOUTH WITH FAMILIES AT THE CENTER of OUR EFFORTS. OUR VISION is to PLACE THE AMERICAN DREAM IN THE GRASP of CHILDREN and THEIR FAMILIES BY STIMULATING THE PURSUIT of KNOWLEDGE, ATTAINMENT of A HEALTHIER LIFE and THE SKILLS for GREATNESS.
