SPECIFICALLY, WE USE THESE GARDENS AS VEHICLES to NOT ONLY EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT HEALTH EATING and SUSTAINABILITY, BUT ALSO AS A MEANS to INCREASE COMMUNITY ACCESS to NUTRITIOUS, LOCALLY GROWN FRUITS and VEGETABLES; CREATING DIGNIFIED, WELL-PAYING JOB OPPORTUNITIES for INDIVIDUALS WHO FACE BARRIERS to EMPLOYMENT; and REGENERATING URBAN and SUBURBAN LANDSCAPES to SUPPORT BIODIVERSITY, SOIL HEALTH, and WATER QUALITY. IN 2018, OUR EFFORTS RESULTED IN THE FOLLOWING ACCOMPLISHMENTS:-CREATED FOUR NEW PART-TIME JOBS for INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE FACED BARRIERS to EMPLOYMENT, INCLUDING HOMELESS and FORMERLY HOMELESS PERSONS, and RETU
