LEO BANDS CONSISTS of 190 BAND and GUARD STUDENTS. UNDER THE DIRECTION of COLBY STACKHOUSE, THE LEO MARCHING BAND WERE 2024 ISSMA SEMI-STATE FINALISTS. THEIR SHOW, TITLED AN OCEAN ODYSSEY, WAS PERFORMED AT 7 MARCHING CONTESTS and FIVE HOME FOOTBALL GAMES. IN OUR WINTER SEASON, THE WINTER GUARD WERE STATE FINALISTS IN REGIONAL A CLASS, OUR JAZZ BAND RECEIVED GOLD WITH DISTINCTION FROM ISSMA, and WE HAD 21 HIGH SCHOOL BAND STUDENTS ACHIEVE STATE-LEVEL GOLD RATING for ISSMA SOLO and ENSEMBLE. IN OUR SPRING SEASON, THE LEO CONCERT BAND ACHIEVED GOLD, WITH DISTINCTION IN SIGHT READING FROM ISSMA. LEO BANDS PERFORM FREE PUBLIC CONCERTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING THE GRABILL DAYS PARADE, and THE PEP BAND CAN BE HEARD AT BOTH BOYS and GIRLS BASKETBALL GAMES. LEO BANDS is A 17-TIME ISSMA REGIONAL FINALIST; 15-TIME ISSMA SEMI-STATE FINALIST; 2011 ISSMA STATE FINALIST; and 14-TIME ISSMA ALL-MUSIC AWARD RECIPIENTS.
