What they do
THE PTA CONSISTS of SCHOOL STAFF and FAMILY MEMBERS WHO WORK TOGETHER to ACHIEVE A SHARED VISION. WE CONDUCT FUNDRAISING EFFORTS and SET A BUDGET to USE THE FUNDS THAT ARE RAISED to SUPPORT THE STAFF, STUDENTS, and GREATER OAKHURST COMMUNITY. OUR MAJOR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS ARE AN ANNUAL AUCTION, A READ-A-THON, A BOOK FAIR, and THE SALE of SPIRITWEAR. ALL EXPENDITURES ARE APPROVED BY THE PTA BOARD. PROVIDED FUNDING to SUPPORT CLASSROOM ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES, PROVIDED STAFF APPRECIATION, HELD EVENTS to GARNER COMMUNITY SUPPORT and HELP FAMILIES CREATE CONNECTION to THE SCHOOL and CONNECTION to OTHER FAMILIES.
