THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS A VARIETY of EVENTS and PROGRAMS AS FOLLOWS: PROVIDED VOLUNTEER SERVICES and FUNDRAISING to ENHANCE and SUPPLEMENT THE EFFORTS of THE WSU MASTER GARDENERS PROGRAM BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON GOOD GARDENING PRACTICES, SPONSORED CLINICS, DEMONSTRATION GARDENS, SCHOOL PROGRAMS and SPEAKERS, and HOLDING EVENTS THAT RAISE FUNDS for THE PROGRAM. THE COMMUNITY GARDEN and DEMONSTRATION BEDS and WORKSHOPS HELP INTERESTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS of ALL AGES LEARN to GROW THEIR OWN FOOD. WE ASSIST IN ESTABLISHING and MAINTAINING COMMUNITY GARDENS and EDUCATING ABOUT SUSTAINABLE GARDENING PRACTICES. DURING 2024, THE ORGANIZATION UTILIZED FUNDING FROM THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT of ECOLOGY GRANT to CREATE EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS ABOUT COMPOSTING and OTHER GARDENING TECHNIQUES. THE COMPOSTING PROGRAM FOCUSES ON BUILDING COMPOST BINS AT COMMUNITY GARDENS and FOOD BANKS, and EDUCATES THE COMMUNITY ABOUT STRATEGIES to DECREASE ORGANIC WASTE IN OUR WASTE STREAMS.
