VOLUNTEERS OFFER THEIR TIME to WORK WITH WOMEN ON COOKING, SEWING, MEAL PLANNING, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, PARENTING, FIRST AID, OFFICE, and COMPUTER SKILLS. THE WOMEN AT THE SHELTER ARE INTRODUCED to COUNTY, STATE, and FEDERAL PROGRAMS AVAILABLE to AID THEM IN OBTAINING and MAINTAINING HOUSING ON THEIR OWN AS WELL AS ASSISTANCE IN EARNING THEIR GEDS. OTHER SERVICES THAT CHFS PROVIDES ARE COMMUNITY OUTREACH, EDUCATION, and LEADERSHIP REGARDING HOMELESSNESS IN BOONE COUNTY.
