PROVIDE EMERGENCY RELIEF FUNDS to EMPLOYEES of COBORNS INCORPORATED and ITS AFFILIATED COMPANIES to ASSIST WITH UNFORESEEN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS or HARDSHIPS of THE EMPLOYEE or HIS or HER IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS.GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE REVIEWED ANNUALLY to ENSURE APPLICANTS MEET THE PROGRAMS ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS and DEMONSTRATE A QUALIFYING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. to BE CONSIDERED for FUNDING, APPLICANTS MUST BE CURRENT COBORNS EMPLOYEES WITH AT LEAST 180 DAYS of EMPLOYMENT, and REQUESTS MUST INVOLVE A SIGNIFICANT UNFORESEEN TRAGEDY CREATING AN IMMEDIATE SHORT-TERM FINANCIAL NEED for THE EMPLOYEE or THEIR FAMILY. DURING THE REVIEW PROCESS, PRIORITY is GIVEN to HARDSHIPS RESULTING FROM SUDDEN, UNEXPECTED, or UNUSUAL EVENTS, SUCH AS PROPERTY DAMAGE or LOSS, TERMINAL or CRITICAL ILLNESS, DEATH, or OTHER SERIOUS MEDICAL, EMOTIONAL, or FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES AFFECTING THE EMPLOYEE, SPOUSE, or DEPENDENTS.
