WWUA 2024: Our Initial Membership Course. This is A 10-day Camp and Was Held In Carlisle Pennsylvania. We Welcomed 21 New Members 3 Returning Alumni and 30 Staff and Volunteers. This Course Teaches The Initial Instruction of Baseball Umpiring While Providing All Necessary Equipment Training Manuals and Experience Necessary to Reconnect to Their Local Communities and Work As An Umpire. The Camp Provides A Renewed Sense of Purpose and Belonging While Also Developing A Peer to Peer Support Network to Achieve Deeper Connections Between Veterans Struggling With Transition or Disabilities. Cost Per Participant is Approximately $3500 Each and Includes Lodging Airfare and Meals. to Date We Have Trained 186 Veterans.
