WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TEACHERS and FAMILIES, HORIZONS GUIDES and SUPPORTS STUDENTS FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 8TH GRADE VIA THE SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM. HORIZONS ALSO GUIDES STUDENTS, KINDERGARTEN THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL, WITH TUTORING and MENTORING DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. IT is THE GOAL of HORIZONS to DEVELOP THE WHOLE CHILD BY EMPHASIZING ACADEMIC, CULTURAL, and RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES THAT PROMOTE PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS, FOSTER AWARENESS of COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY, INSTILL RESPECT of ONESELF and OTHERS, and ENCOURAGE A LIFELONG LOVE of LEARNING. THE HORIZONS PROGRAM GIVES STUDENTS THE SKILLS and SUPPORT THAT WILL ASSIST THEM IN BECOMING SUCCESSFUL, CONFIDENT STUDENTS WHO WILL BE COLLEGE and CAREER READY.
