Direct Assistance Includes Expenses for Meals, Housing, or Transportation. This Tax Year, We Granted $45,000 or 64% of Total Grants Awarded to Three Organizations. Harboring Hearts Received A $35,000 Grant That Supported 63 Families In The New York City Area to Offset The Burden of Expenses Incurred In The Pre-transplant Process. They Provided An Average of Approximately $500 to Each of These Families. Heartfelt Help Foundation Received A $5,000 Grant That Supported 5 Families In Northern California to Offset The Burden of Expenses Incurred During The Post-transplant Process. These Funds Provided Support Approximately $1,000 to Each of These Families. Off The List Received A $5,000 Grant That Supports Patients On The Kidney Transplant List and Their Families With The Tools Needed to Find Living Donors.
