THIS PROGRAM is FREE to MEMBERS of OUR COMMUNITY. WE ALSO HAVE CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS WITH A LOCAL HOSPITAL and TWO LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES. WEST CENTRAL JOB PARTNERSHIP RECOGNIZES HEALTH LINK SERVICES AS A TRAINING PROVIDER. THE NURSE AIDE TRAINING PROGRAM is OFFERED MONTHLY EXCEPT for AUGUST and DECEMBER. ONLY 10 APPLICANTS CAN BE ACCEPTED IN THE PROGRAM (DEPARTMENT of EDUCATION REGULATION) and ON AVERAGE, 7 STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM THE PROGRAM SUCCESSFULLY. THE PROGRAM is DESIGNED to PREPARE INDIVIDUALS for THE PA STATE COMPETENCY EXAM. THE GRADUATES ARE ELIGIBLE for EMPLOYMENT AT ANY HEALTHCARE FACILITY PROVIDED THEY TAKE and PASS THE PA STATE EXAM WITHIN 120 DAYS of THE FIRST DAY of EMPLOYMENT.
