SUPPORT SAFE FAMILIES for CHILDREN ALLIANCE. THIS GRANT SUPPORTS THE EXPANSION of SAFE FAMILIES INTO STEPHENSON COUNTY. SAFE FAMILIES MISSION is to HOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN, CREATING AN "EXTENDED FAMILY" of VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE MOTIVATED to KEEP CHILDREN SAFE and FAMILIES TOGETHER. THIS PARTICULAR ROCKFORD CHAPTER HAS A CONTRACT WITH THE STATE of ILLINOIS for TEMPORARY RESPITE SERVICES for FAMILIES THAT NEED A LITTLE HELP WITHOUT HAVING to PUT THE CHILDREN INTO FOSTER CARE.
