Top Hat is One of The Biggest Fund Raisers As Well As A Community Outreach for Our Members With Disabilities. The Members Participate In Ballroom Dance Lessons for 10-12 Weeks At The End of Which Top Hat is Held. The Formal Dance is Comprised of Big Band, Dance Cards, Sale of Reserved Seating, Advanced Ticket Sales, Dance Programs, and Advertisement. The Dance is A Public Event. Members Get to Demonstrate Their Dance Moves and Have The Opprotunity to Dance With The Public. The Money Raised Goes to Support All FFRA Members. It Keeps The Resource Center Open Where Member Can Engage In Educational and Informational Programs. Members Have The Chance to Go On Outings, Participate In Crafts, Have Movie and Bingo Afternoons. They Also Learn Skills In Home Care and Maintenance. 45 Members Participated In The Dancing, Others Helped With The Various Parts of Setting Up and Breaking Down The Event. Expenses $3415.00.
